Hike/run up to Mt Sheba from Spruce Lake (1300 m total climb). Super nice country, especially up in the alpine. Saw a couple of sheep up top. Did about half with Abbi, Keith, Laura, but extended out to Mt Sheba on my own. Opted out of trying to get to the summit as it looked a bit sketchy.

Right hand is still pretty sore. Decided to leave my bike at camp and just hike/run today.

Deer Pass from Spruce Lake, counter clockwise (1640 m total climb). Awesome ride. Pretty challenging riding in general, fairly technical. Really tough climb up to Deer Pass (lots of hike-a-bike). Steep and technical descent down from the pass. Took 9 hours total.

Unfortunately, took a spill (over the bars) on a section of scree along Trigger Lake. Landed pretty hard on my hands (and feet). Stupid mistake on a flat section of trail after descending all the way down without incident. Right hand is pretty sore, mainly on the palm below the thumb. Hopefully just bruised, but not quite sure. Riding was Ok afterward, but shifting was painful.

Mtn bike trip in the South Chilcotin (Spruce Lake Protected Area) with the Hepburns. Ride to/from Tyax Lodge on Tyaughton Lake. Camping gear shipped to Spruce Lake by float plane. Pretty lux camping given the 1100 lb weight limit! Ride from Tyaughton Lake to Spruce Lake. Big ride over Eldorado and Windy passes (1600 m total climb). Super views from up top, and a fun descent from Windy pass to Spruce Lake.

Ski practice at LH. Run, mostly around the Reino Run course.

Had a fun afternoon out paddling on the Chucks (Shuswap River below Mabel Lake) with Abbi and Rachel. A bit more challenging than I expected. With low water (and lots of rocks), opted to have Rachel walk the tougher drops - she did quite well on the easier section and her roll looks pretty good now.
