shoes: Vomero Royal Blue
Started with Craig at Spring Lake Park archery range. Followed the paved trail east, then on whim took a gravel road down to the water's edge. From there followed a beautiful double-track along the flat water. Found some limestone ruins, a small ferry boat, and an old saw mill containing one last, unfinished log. Then up the bluff on a diminishing dirt trail, through the picnic area and on to some wonderful singletrack. Really the most scenic ST in the metro area, especially with the trees still bare. Stayed to paved trail on the way back, seeking to shorten the route, as I'm no longer accustomed to this distance.
