Orienteering race 18:48 [5] 2.8 km (6:43 / km) +30m 6:22 / km
shoes: V-J Falcon

Mens heat 2 - Glad I wore my O shoes as it was very muddy in places. No mistakes but nearly got killed x ing the road by some mad driver. Geoff Butt started the same time as me on heat 3 and overtook me going to 20 but I couldn't stay with him and he finished just in front of me. I made final B by the skin of my teeth which meant I was off near the front of the start list.

Mens B final - Didn't enjoy the street parts and took some abuse running through the shopping precinct from the scum bags of Chorley! Enjoyed the park and school though and managed to hold off Paul who started 2 minutes behind me and finished 1 second behind. Findlay started 1 minute behind and caught me at 6 which I was quite pleased about but I never saw him again after 9!

Haverthwaite - A cut down version of the Trossachs in the Lakes. Very physical and I had a great run apart from 3 where I lost about 7 minutes. I didn't see the x ing point and ended up way too low. I think I would have been 47 - 48 minutes otherwise which was a respectable time. A glorious day in the Lakes.
