Est of dist, being champ event left the gps at home.

Although had decided I was way too fit, I still put in a last minute entry after plans changed for the weekend. Turned out couldn't make Saturday and wasnt too upset as apparently it was a running race and at this fitness that would have been sad... Decided to pitch for the middle in the hope it would be technical and thus fun, even unfit, and with no O in ages. Wasn't disappointed.

Fitness nailed me but still had fun.

Started slowly as knew would run out of steam anyway. Fine for first 3 although a bit clumsy esp on 2 & 3. Backed myself too much with the compass on 5 and missed it by a mile short and ended up heading to 6 first and then back after wasting plenty of time. Should have just used the road to the right as Mark did. 7,8,9 were fine but slow pace puffing. 10 was surprisingly spot on straight line off the path. 11 & 12 fine but slow. 13, missed the pit to the right and had to circle back using the house in the distance as a marker. 14 fine. 15 went too far around due to thick bush and bumbled around a bit until got through and back to the green. 16 fine, just slow. Course later stopped there as 17 was marked incorrectly on the map but that was the last and easy control so didnt affect anything.

Glad I went through, just need to get the fitness back.

Lost all the fitness :-( Last minute availability on the weekend and contemplated WC champs but at this fitness it will just be frustrating...
