Climbing (Bouldering) 17:30 [1]

Went into King Kong with my voucher from winning Weasdale and got some new climbing shoes with good advice from Chris Swanepoel.
I'd done a couple of V1s and V2s (they've started labelling them) before Rhys joined me.
We did a few V2s and V3s. I could just about start a couple of V4s.
A yellow one inside the sawn-off wall was still there from last time. It was much easier than last time. I think I'd only ever got up it once before.
Did a tricky green one in the right angled corner next to the cave before Rhys did it a completely different way. Next to that was a blue one that saw me leaning on a slidey hand and palming the other side of the corner- not pleasant.
The coolest one I did was a long beige one in the cave where I had to get completely horizontal and then do a couple of moves up the vertical section above the cave. My hands we getting greasy and my right heel was locked into a hook so it was a little hairy but I had Rhys and the two girls who were route setting encouraging me.
Did a couple of moves on a dark green that required good placement of the hands and feet and finished on a red V3 that was tricky at the top.
I'm still not so good at the crimpy and pinchy stuff but seem to be better overall.

Climbing (Bouldering) 26:20 [1]

Fielding calls about my broken-down car all night there was a lot more aggression to call upon than usual...
Kendal Wall with the Spains, McIvers, Brownes (they gave me a lift there), Sarah and Lucy's friend Claire.
Did almost all of the purple one in the cave in the green room. Very satisfying. Also did a purple on the corner of the circuit wall in a few ways because we had originally though it was two problems. Finally finished the yellow that had been making me strike a T-Rex pose too.
