orienteering race 1:05:35 [5]

Fun lake Maria O-meet. The course generally good and mostly had a good clean run. While trying to reset and save my Garmin data coming out of CP 1 I stupidly ran straight east through dark green back out to the trail. Things went well from there generally. Although I did try to run through the swamp north of CP 3, where I immediately fell in up to my left thigh! Things went well from there to CP 10. Great open woods, great route choices. On the way into 11 I fell hard and ripped my pants on barbed wire. I got up and continued at a slower pace. The light and dark green from 11 to 13 brought ducking and crawling and bungling around trying to fight through patches of nastiness. the remaining three CPs took me 30 minutes, few of which were much fun or involved a great deal of skill. Ended on a bit of a low note, but had a great run overall.

Garmin was not picking up a good signal until northermost part of the course, which is a bummer. But here's most of my run, below. I'll put it up on quickroute, does someone usually post the map or do each of us generally scan it in individually?

Mountain Biking 56:00 [4]

Hot lap at leb before curling. XX to intermediate to terrain park and out. Near race pace.

Curling 2:00:00 [0]

Second game of the season, won on the last rock. We didn't play very well, but with the W in the books, I'm not too upset. I was not a big fan of how the other team carried themselves.

Walked 18 at Mendakota with some friends that are members. The greens are so fast and the course was new to me, which was only part of the reason I shot 106 - I struggled mentally until the second mimosa. The guys in my group were so good. It's a different life on a private course like that - not sure if I liked it or not. But it sure wasn't all bad.
