Running 25:00 [1] 2.0 mi (12:30 / mi)

Jogged about two miles while watching Kelly race this morning. She destroyed a very hilly 7 mile course in an all-time course record of 40:49. Rainy morning. Cleared up right after the race.

Running 2:23:00 [3] 17.44 mi (8:12 / mi) +92m 8:04 / mi

Long run with Wentzel. Couldn't get his full 22 in, but did my best to grind out a mega-run with the animal. He's a beast! He should be good to go for Boston. I'm excited to watch out there! Two weeks and a day away.

I felt pretty good, my calves were the most tired, likely because I ran with Newtons. My Newtons are among my favorite shoes but 17+ is a lot of calf work considering I don't regularly out in huge runs with them.

Thanks to Pete for making delicious Skratch lab rice cakes for the run.

Cycling 1:30:00 [4]

Spin class at Cyclequest Studios. Got there early and got in a nice warm-up. Finished the ride really hungry. Good workout.

Running 1:30:00 [5] 8.0 mi (11:15 / mi)

Powerdome.

2 mile warmup.

Then 300m on, 300m off, 15 times. So about 5 miles.

Then a few laps to coll down.

Legs are pretty wrecked after this and soccer. Workout was not too tough at the "on" pace was 5k race pace, not a sprint. But it got tiring at the end.

Soccer race 1:00:00 [4]

Fun soccer game with Pete W and the unicorn. We snuck out a nice 1-0 win against a scrappy team. I felt pretty sluggish from the Sunday long run, but not too bad. Got in a lot of warm-up before the game which helped loosen up.

Running 1:33:00 [4] 12.2 mi (7:37 / mi)

Pete and Kelly and I are headed to Boston. Them to run, me to watch. But I've been lucky enough to be invited on a few of Pete's long runs, and this one was a good one.

Pete and Biz and I left his house, ran the Minnehaha parkway, then around Nokomis the long way, back to the parkway, then over the Ford bridge and north on the river parkway, and east on Summit to watch Kelly DESTROY the Irish Run 8k in 28:08.

Then we ate Gelato, then we had a GYRO, then we ate Gelato! For reals.

Bam.
