Running 4:00:00 [3] 20.9 mi (11:29 / mi)

The Most Amazing Race in Fort Lauderdale.

Eric and I flew down to Orlando for $99 and then rented a 1-way car back to MPLS for a $1 a day--don't ask me how he finds these deals. Something about Costco...

Anyway, we raged this thing. Memorized a song and sang at a karaoke bar on the first try, finished the GED exam so violently fast that bystanders had to avert their eyes, solved Sudoku puzzles like actual ninjas, three-legged hopped like we were Siamese, and built a wheel barrow so fast that apparently a rumor was started that we were engineers (the only true statement in this sentence). It was glorious.

Great job by the Salvation Army, another great time. Still can't quite figure why these races are not more popular, other than the amount of running usually involved. We did about 19-20 miles.

Great stuff. Looking forward to a good season of urban racing with Eric. Next up is the Super Dare in Santa Monica, CA.

Cycling 1:10:00 [3] 15.0 mi (12.9 mph)

Spin on the MTB up to Wentzel's to check out his bathroom remodel. Legs felt wornout from the high intensity stuff this week-I feel old.

The guys he has working there are legit - everything done to perfection. Sweet countertops, tilework and wall mount faucet. I heard a rumor that he's going to sell that house to me when he's done so he can start another project.

Running 1:05:00 [5] 6.3 mi (10:19 / mi)

A quick leg-turnover workout to gear up for race in Florida this weekend. Eric and I are headed down to Fort Lauderdale for the Salvation Army race down there. got two miles in at 6:10/mile, and three slowish miles with some hill repeats. Ran at 9 mile creek -- great area.
