Sigh - tough emotional day at work. Had a trial and got hit out of the ball park. Being who I am, I took it personally although I was aware of that and took some steps to counter it. Nevertheless, it was a hard day.
One of those steps was to go for a hard run. It worked wonders on my mood. It also worked wonders on my pace - I should lose more trials before running!
I knew my recovery pace but wasn't sure about what my fast pace should be. First one I kept an eye on the Garmin but wasn't really sure what it was that I was aiming for. After that one, I just slowly increased my pace to the TT level and ran at that. I just kept a close tab on my breathing and effort level, having to back off a few times when I realised I was over reaching past my AT.
