Roadie 1:58:36 [3] 47.24 km (23.9 kph) +587m
shoes: Giant TCR C1

I had finished my packing early and was bored sitting in an empty room so I went for a ride. After the hills of last weekend, the Mundaring loop didn't sound so daunting. And it wasn't. Sure it was hard, but not as hard as I expected.
Mind you, I did struggle going up the steep bit on Gooseberry Hill Rd. I was in my lowest gear, standing on the pedals with my heart racing. But I made it up and round without stopping so pretty pleased.

Note

Too tired to do ski training this morning. Too stressed too. Who ever thought putting stuff in boxes could be so difficult?

Running (LSD) 44:53 intensity: (12:47 @0) + (57 @1) + (4:49 @2) + (25:53 @3) + (27 @4) 5.88 km (7:38 / km)
ahr:145 max:165 shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D

A lovely measured run ignoring all the faster people around me and, for a change, not feeling bad about it either. Right shin started to hurt for a while and then eased off. Total of 36 minutes running plus wu/cd walk. 40 minutes here I come.
Hopefully my shins hold up ok and I can get to my goal of 60 minutes twice a week. Then back to the running group.

Funny how I work. When I get tired, my mood goes down. When my mood goes down I eat more. So the post Espresso period saw me craving bad food. At least I lost (in the race) what I gained (in the post race splurge).

Running (Active Recovery Walk) 44:39 [3] 3.7 km (12:04 / km)

Walked home after the rains passed. I wanted to warm up my very sore and stiff legs so that I could properly stretch them once I got home. Ran for the lights once and legs felt incredibly heavy. Had a good stretch afterwards. I hope all those hills that are making me sore have made me quicker!
