Mulpus Brook loop, hatlamp and Dad's snowshoes, with enough snow to justify them. The trees were weighted down with enough of this glop to make it almost look like the first RIN-O (without the sparkly crystal effect). Well, okay, not that bad. I managed to keep up a decent jogging pace for most of the time I was out there. Looked like somebody had been through maybe yesterday, but not today. Turns out this is partially blazed with reflective thumbtacks, which I hadn't noticed in daylight. I caught a glimpse of a couple of young ladies heading down the street carrying showshoes and poles today, and I wonder if they use these trails. You'd think if I were an enterprising sort of fellow I'd find a way to meet them and find out.
Timed this pretty well, such that I was out in the woods when Scott Brown was making his speech, so I didn't have to hear it. Although when I got back, the first item on the BBC news included a clip from it.
