To Pepperell to pick up a car. I had scoped out a route that stuck to back roads, but I memorized the turns incorrectly and wound up taking a different, longer route that did involve a little bit of riding on roads with more traffic. No matter. Google Maps calls this an 88 minute trip by bike, but I was able to do a bit better than that.
Some people like to seek out new and exciting things, but others figure that when you've got something that you like, you might as well stick with it.
About a quarter mile after I left the dealership, something alarming happened: there was a vey loud explosion emanating from somewhere inside the car. Fortunately, I'm a level-headed guy, and did not panic. I briefly considered the information I had, and concluded (correctly) that one of the bicycle tires had blown out. Lucky for me that it waited until I was done riding.
When I got home, I swapped over a few things from the old Vibe (stereo, roof rack bars, floor mats, etc.), and I'm pretty much good to go, though I'll probably find a body shop to put in a sunroof, and maybe add a racing stripe.
