Started a bit more steadily and built up to a 3:34 last km. Felt a lot better than most recent runs.

Usual childwickbury out & back in 62 mins
Felt a real struggle partly because paul was feeling good and set a strong pace. I eventually got chewed up, spat out the back and then caught by Alex who had dropped off earlier than me.
Maybe time to admit I’m not as sharp as I’d hoped to be, and run a bit more conservatively as all this slowing dow and dropping off the back is a bit demoralising. I started this with the attitude that working hard with the quicker guys would be good for me, but limping home at 4:30s for the last 5k probably didn’t give me much benefit.
