Chiltern Challenge Black - 2nd
Pretty eventful!
Like pretty much everyone i had some real shockers. Apart from a pretty good stretch from 15-25, i was struggling and losing big chunks of time. A few of these were really bad, running with my head down at #9 and #14. Both times searching a good way away from the control site.
The event was rescheduled from March and i think the vegetation has moved on a lot since then which didn’t help. Lots of features not as visible and some veg boundaries not that helpful.
Got completely stuck at #26 where there seemed to be an extra q pronounced reentrant. looks like i wasn’t the only one. But should have tried attacking from the far side rather than repeating the same line, and then i’d have stumbled on it.
On the plus side i look to have been reasonably strong on some of the physical legs.
