Note

Sunny Sussex weekend was really good for a couple of reasons:
1. Nice enjoyable orienteering after the last few events were a bit of a slog at times
2. Great format of 3 events around a night camping that I think all the family enjoyed
3. Even though I didn’t really have the legs for even one race let alone three (thanks to building my training up towards the etape), my runs were encouraging in their own way. Middle race I was into the 1300s for ranking points despite dropping 3 mins by #4 on poor direction and those heavy legs; sprint race and classic race I was fine reading the detail. All good signs after I’d been wondering if my eyesight wasn’t really fixed well enough to allow me to push hard (physically or navigationally)
7 AM

Running (buggy/bag) 1:01:29 [1] 9.34 km (6:35 / km) +68m 6:21 / km
ahr:115 max:130 shoes: Asics 2000 (iii)

Bit borderline this, as I’m now properly tired out so it was (necessarily) very slow. But thought it better to loosen off a bit today and rest fully later in the week. Plus the weather was nice and it fit into the day very nicely.
