Swam course half out to 1st b and back the all the way to b and back building to. Some mod-h on the way in. Then ran 2 strides on the beach.

Butt muscles and hams still for like a bruise and left foot on top.

All on the roads. Practice course didn't open until 10 and I know how to ride my bike in the dirt. Kept tires clean and not cut up. Added a full bottle of liquid latex, co2, extra pump, tube. Finishing is the only balance between blowing up. Committed to supreme suffering

Yoga for 25min trying to get hips/butt better. Still sore from lunges. Another 1+hr nap today and race quality eating all week.

Phone is dying, no internet, no caffeine, no car, no Monique!, and now that I found out the race is Sunday there is no Haleakala. SUCKS!!! Over the Xterra vibe and yes I'm bitchy... Ran dow the beach and back before it got too hot. Met Amber and some folks at the expo. Two days to go...let's get this over already

Rented a car and was going to sunset swim but went to sbucks to read (no coffee). Focused. Focused and understanding the suffering that is coming. Ready to embrace it now.

Peters Canyon in the rollers. Picked it up on the way out in the rollers and cruz back.
No rain but tacky and rain last few days. Perfect!

Easy day - busy w/ work all day and then a massage after work. Hoping it would help but I am way more stiff and sore today. Wont make this mistake again but I will be ready to race come Saturday.

Easy spin on the trainer w/ some pickups at about 9pm. Legs started feeling loose at the end but butt muscles feel really fatigued.

raining and thunder all day. Nova sessions canceled and drove to a couple pools but then just ate dinner....3x. Got home and felt better after the spin so hit the wet streets (no rain) w/ M for some hot laps around the block. legs heavy and R butt the tightest. Felt like it was cramping and hard to keep my cadence up but solid paces and felt best at the end. M is a dream crushing machine holding paces I never though I would hold. Give her a year and she will be faster than me no doubt!

May have got myself in a pickle. I have the worst case of doms in my hams, butt, core, inner quads ever. Swim workout and doing squats last night after running was STUPID! Woke up a few times last night and the out of bed at 3am for an hour stretching and eating. Painful.

Easy spin on the trainer this morning getting blood flow going. Hope it goes away...
