got up at 5am w/out alarm clock. Quick myrtl/core/stability and then yogie before run

Out to Bomber and back on the Quail trail. No niggles, pains, etc. Feeling solid.

Swim (Pad pool) 30:00 [3] 1.0 mi (30:00 / mi)

Skipped ride options w/ the boys. Way too much going on before we go (tomorrow) and need to get it done before then. Two more Juniper test, etc, etc. Got breakfast with Sean and made some plans to take over the world. Then quick swim w/ M and him in the pad pool. 600 w/ the snorkel and 200's done w/ pulling gear on the evens. Good stuff. Off to the bday party!

Quick paddle before the bluesails bbq in HH. Did 10min non-stop focused building and then a few minutes of drills and repeated 3x. Glassy and clear. Saw lots of sea life and some sting rays fighting/making love?

Road Bike 3:15:00 [3] 55.2 mi (17.0 mph)

Road ride down PCH, up 133, (two flats) through turtle ridge w/ the boys trying to catch back up to the girls, back of NC, down San J, back b, PCH. Felt strong all day and no issues w/ hams. Holding 300-320 on the pulls down pch feeling like I could sit on it comfy but 3hrs was enough for the day. Enough to confirm I am ready.

Needed this after all the study time! HB session w/ Keevin. Working and sweating a lot! Core muscles sore for two days after.

Sold the epic in Chile so with the quick blade now. WAY lighter and more twist but shaft is smaller. May need some tape. Had to pull the foot brace back 2 clicks.

Windy out. Surprised I didnt fall out. Enough to have chop break over the hood. Got back, loaded boat on truck and walked around and opened my door. Wind blew the boat right off the top, over my head and two spots down. Not cool. Cracked a good chunk catching my open door on the way over...prob saving my head...but surprised there was not more damage.

Opted to not do any more and get packing done early...for the first time EVER! So relaxing knowing its in the bag

Easy spin after work on the TT bike. That bike is fast... Looped the back bay and then home. Some wind.

Swim (Nova-Distance) 1:00:00 [3] 2.0 mi (30:00 / mi)

Night session at Northwoods w/ Jim. Swam pyramid up with compression socks on (100s at about 1:16) and then down with them off (100s at about 1:12).

Main set was broken
100/200/100, 100/300/100, 100/400/100 and then back down

Tuesday Apr 5, 2011 #

Left the house a wounded man, came back a runnin. Thank you Lord!

Starting thinking about when it started and why my L butt was so sore. Something popped when I was stretching and I has zero issues w/ my hip/ham before then. Walked to Sbux and could run at a very short stride pace. Kept my feet right under me until I broke a sweat and then did some easy dynamic stretching. Ready to call it a day. Hip popped, pain almost gone. Ran to the pool super easy and back w/ very little tightness at all. Kept it easy and short strides. See how the rest of the day goes.

Tried to run this morning and it was not going to happen. Feel totally recovered mentally/physically now but whatever I did to my Left hamstring on Friday is not going away. It maybe a combination of the strength session (lunges) and the pop I heard when stretching but the same inside ham right where it attaches to under my butt is pulled.

Felt it super tight walking Friday whenever my heel was extended forward even a little bit. Did not notice it on the bike but the alignment is off so eventually it gets to my knee and causes pain there too. Outside butt is sore and it just feels like my hip is out of place. No flex in swinging my leg forward is the issues. Walked to starbucks and back this morning w/ no pain but running(wt bearing) and the longer stride I feel it pulling. Did not want to push it. Feels like this cam on right as I committed to Marco for the race.

Rolled hip, light stretching and icing now. Nothing major for stretching but likely my weak butt again as I cannot even do a single leg squat and any load I feel it right in that spot.

Lunch masters. Sun blasting. 100's were down from 1:12--->1:05 through main set

MS of 5x500 broken as
100 on 1:30, 2x75 on 1:10, 3x50 on :50, 4x25 on :30
dropped 5sec for interval each round and put on paddles (no b) for 4th round. 5th was back to 1:30base no gear.
