Endless fartlelk trail run w/ Josh. NIX to El Moro loop finishing in Laguna. Solid!







Felt super good running and loving the summer heat and off-shore wind. Ran 3 miles and then met up w/ Josh and we had a good mix of some super steep technical trails, rolling swoops and fire roads. Walking occasionally on some scrambles or at the opportunity that Josh would discover some females and stir conversation to digits.

Never felt better running - even w/ lower leg fatigue from the trail/shoes after a couple hours. At times, I would hit stride with the quickness and ease of effort at those paces what would have been hard to imagine a year ago.

Barefoot walk w/ tunnie on the sand/super low tide down to south laguna for food after and before JW dinner tonight. Last two weekends feel endless and satisfying.

Slept in and skiped Nova again at SOKA. Would have been the place to link up but still managed a solid ride with Nick and Josh from top of the world and a Aliso loop before dropping down stairsteps and meeting Keevin for more 1-track loops.

Dont remember if I use to clear stairsteps and all we rode with such easy but feel on top of it for sure. Flowing and loving riding in the dirt right now.

Ate at Active Cultures and pack up Park. Rolling back & forth on the road waiting for Nick I saw some guys turn off the road on the way to Meadows. Intrigued I followed and found an overlook and trail I had never seen before. I let Nick know I was going to keep riding and figured I could add a meadows loop or something. I have not pumped up my tires in months and was riding on about 20lbs all day. First drop into this trail and I burped my front bad and the next rut I ripped the tire off of the rim and went over the bars and into a tree. I was ok outside of some scrapes and R shoulder but my pinky caught a branch and maybe broken/dislocated. Hiked it out and managed to save the tire with some Co2's (forgot I had not tubes from SJT last weekend).

on the way home after long day and training at Nexus/SE newsletter/hive dive. Felt good to get out and _RUN_.

Out and back on path starting by Culver. Ran into sunset then dark on the way back dropping into a freedom of effortless rhythm that I have not felt in a long time. Wanted to keep running home. Hot out today but perfect temps and just loving the turn over and knowing what I knocked out today. Breathing is good!

Trainer session that I started in the morning but finished after run in the evening. Slammed all morning prepping for the day and new cards/bank, webex, etc anyways.

welcome back Nova. 3,000yds timed today after a short 400 warm up. Not the best for me for sure. OW goggles totally sucked pushing off the wall and ended up having to stop 3x to adjust and just swam last 400 of it with my eyes closed after miss flipping a couple turns. All good. Great session and wish we did these more often although I would much rather swim OW lap non-stop. Just over 38min then 200 CD.

Lazy last couple days just dumping buckets into work and the list. Hunger for mind training so going with it. Embracing some catching up and being home. Just like that I told M last night we had moved from being cared for to caring for ourselves to caring for others. Parents and project leeroy...

Endurance. Have been listening to it the last couple road rides and absorbed by it...not wanting to stop riding today but had calls.


maybe get out to do something else today on fear of becoming a mono-sporter by the looks of that graph ;-P

Cranking out on the keyboard and catching up on 5 months of expense reports and such. Got out to a sweat session and got opened up. Was planning to run and swim after but just got back to cleaning and prepping. Lower legs a little sore from trail surfaces and glutes (a good sign) but other than that feeling rested and physically great just no desire to "train" right now.
