Rad point to point with a new pair of kicks. NIX/Bomber/finished on Q loop to meet the family. Just put my G500 in the vest and ran by ez fun feel

Yesterday was basically race sim or effort for most of it so felt good but lower legs trashed starting out. First four miles felt like major shin splints but once I got to the hills they stretched out (let's hope). Love those trails and such a beautiful day. Energy up and solid form to finish. Big confidence boost from last couple weeks finally getting back to some consistency, solid longer paces and over 20mpw running.

Thought about the commit and going for Oceanside. Considering how things are going it's worth the focus and I'm having fun. Gen goals I thought of in the run

A) finish faster than last year (4:40?)
Should be ez since I was in NZ and we moved into our house the week of(zero training/sleep- major life stress) and I broke my pedal on the bike and floated the run.

B) finish faster than any previous Oside time (4:20ish). Should be possible even with less fitness because it's about 10min slower than my PR

C) stretch goal - beat my best half run time (1:22). This is to get me focused on running until the start line and it is a stretch so gotta reach for something. Will also make me ride a little more conservative and change up my approach - something new and exciting.

Nova time for Mikes 50th Bday

Didnt plan on leading the lane but was holding ~1:30-1:15 until about 30. Decided to grab my paddles and use them for 35-49 but it burned up my ME muscle. Calfs loaded and twitching towards the end. 202 pushes off the wall! Man was my back sore on the run and now. Solid set.

50 miles with a big group from Northwoods / Chap / SART and path back.

Rode up on Jam and then Paul got a flat AFTER we waited for everyone to regroup so Mike and I stayed back and pulled him back up to the group. Then hammer time all down SART. Love that GIANT! Caught the group on PCH and then some more solid efforts up to Harvard. Cycling legs are coming back

Low-mid back stabilization was about to cramp. Felt good but was suffering in the heat and hill back up. Great day with such a great crew.

Man my alarm was still set so I was starting this workout at 5:30am (2:30 home time!) and asleep most of it. Great gym tho and got in a good back and flute workout. Big day on my glutes rest of day...

Lunch run on the treadmill just ez and then about 6K at a steady pace trying to use the right muscles/form. Felt good and awake! Productive day.

Double treadmill...that has got to be a first.

Got out of last session about 10min early and had a gap before we all walked over for the team dinner. Yippy! Just felt like running so hopped on the treadmill again and just tried to relax at the mid/top of steady for a little over 10min easing in and out.

Travel to Atlanta - woke up super early with goal to lift before and run there but was wall to wall packed day. 10min from landing to general session and just got to bed at a reasonable time. Very please with the last couple of weeks of training and planned on a recovery week so rolling with it.

Beautiful morning and hot bluebird sky out. 70's to almost 90 out by the time I was on the bike. Long morning with the family and rolling. Biggest week in about 2yrs and feeling awesome! Stoked to have this day before the week.
