Swim 15:00 [3]

Up early with a solid night of sleep. Feeling very good and peppy!

MTN Bike 3:00:00 [3] 33.0 mi (11.0 mph) +3149ft

Easy rolling from home under some clouds and around to CDM for some coffee. Didnt feel great and first ride with the AB ring so just taking it easy. Once I got to some climbing through El Moro I was grinning ear to ear!!!!!! If I am not at lifetime best on the bike right now I am getting very close. Hopefully not peaking or something but for 30K of climbing for the week I felt so good climbing and descending was a joke.

PR'd 'i think i can" and that was a climb I use to do repeats on for Xterra training (11min to 8min). PR'd down Lizards without even pushing it and I have ridden that 100's of times including on the Trek and Genius 6" travel bikes. It is tore up from the summer and so sloppy but it felt effortless to rip down it stress free. unreal! Breck Epic had made me a better man! hahaha...

Rolling over NIX I felt like I could ride all day and into the night. Same feeling as yesterday where my legs are tired but I am at the top of a climb before I start the next descent. FUN!!

Road Bike 6:37:00 [3] 100.2 mi (15.1 mph) +13000ft

GMR / East G / Crystal and back to via the village with Art, Greg and Greg.

Great day with a great crew. Lots of respect for those guys and stoked to have a day like this with them. Art Sosa is back!

Legs felt like junk - two days after running for the first time in about 5 weeks and the hard efforts on Fridays group ride left my legs feeling like crap. I rolled GMR easy/steady and just figured I would sit in for the day. Two weeks out from Grizzly so glad I did not do the XC race and did this instead.

Ended up feeling awesome and had some PR's but even more I am at a level I didnt think I would ever be at...last time I did this ride I had a to sit down and I was pushing to ride with Jerry and Chris. This time I rolled solo and added a bunch of out and backs at faster paces. Its not like my legs didnt feel terrible at times but they just kept rolling and pushing without much thought or effort.

Not a strava geek but looking back at the meat of the crystal lake climb over the years it was taking me 2-2hr 30min prior to 2013 with stops. Last two years I was about 1hr 40min at best and pushing with Jerry and Chris this year I got down to 1hr 20min. I rode solo and not even struggling to hold a wheel today I got to the cafe in 1hr 10min and I didnt know the cafe was included so I soft pedaled the last two miles. ha! I will take it for the effort and packing extra tubes, pump, bottles, etc. in case we rode the saddle. Def some improvement landing that in the front of a 13K ride and finishing the ride with some pop.

Road Bike 3:40:00 [3] 71.0 mi (19.4 mph) +2500ft

Coffee crew and then rolling to LBC with Art, Lenard and Spencer.

Felt so super good! ;) Finlay over the sick block and absorbed July and Aug. legs could have ridden themselves all day long. Rode to the second wheel on Vitoria while I was still sitting and then when I stood and got to the top I could not even see anyone. Fun! Kept pushing and it kept coming. Not even breaking a sweat. Tom and I taking turns pushing the pace. Some very hard efforts that just felt natural.

A little sore from the run too.

Road Bike 2:02:00 [3] 31.0 mi (15.2 mph) +4339ft

GMR front and back in the early morning awesomeness. Had an extra water bottle, felt "less than ideal" after late night at concert and windy/raining but my legs just wanted to go, go, go.... Saturday really knocked the snot out of me in a good way but my legs have been sore to the touch. trainer ride just loaded them up also but I was just rolling comfortably hard and breathing steady. 41min g2g w/out hitting the suffer button. Was 47min in July. Cool! Beautiful morning watching lightening and ridding in the rain drops falling from a sunny sky.

MTN Bike 2:00:00 [3] 21.5 mi (10.8 mph) +2500ft

Bomber and El M with Nick and Pete.

Rode Nicks non-RC and really liked it. Felt so good again and just rolling up the climbs. That bike feels a lot like the genius I had but still a Spark...hmmmm. Rad flowing down heart loop on Petes wheel. Love that loop!
