Commuting(cycling) 35:00 [3]

Okay, today totally offset Monday's crappiness! Hearing Harps' exciting news is far too exciting! Can't wait to meet Line-O and Score-O! (or Rocky and Bullwinkle? MANdarin and OG doesn't quite ring. Hmmm....). I also found out that I made one of the ultimate leagues I tried out for! Here we come speed training.

Commuting(cycling) 40:00 [3]

After 2 months with a broken dishwasher, I finally tracked down the right part and ordered it again when the package was missing a key piece, but our dishwasher is FINALLY back in service again! Some say that you have to go without something now and then to really appreciate it. I have appreciated dishwashers every time I have switched it on!

Commuting(cycling) 25:00 [3]

I may have over reacted a bit (fuelled by yesterday's rage towards dumba** and someone cutting me off), and was pretty stern telling a girl to get off her phone. She obliged with a pretty scared face. Oh well.

Commuting(cycling) 1:30:00 [3]

Well, that goes down as one of the s**ttiest days I have had in a LONG time! I got a call from MooPoint halfway through the day. She was very upset and started by confirming that everyone is fine (really appreciated her starting with that!), but could I come to where she is for some help. Slow/broken elevators and stupid people in traffic made me take what seemed like forever to get there.

I finally arrived to find out that some dumba** blew a stop sign and ran into our car with MooPoint and TheMonster in it. MooPoint saved the day by hammering the gas at the last second to try to get out of the way. Had she not done that, dumba** probably would have hit more than the bumper and there may have been physical injuries. MooPoint also managed to regain control of the vehicle after being bumped off course. MooPoint noticed that dumba** had slowed down to stop, but hit the gas for her rolling stop *without looking in front of her*! MooPoint expected to see the dumba**'s eyes, but saw her left ear instead. Making matters worse, this 4-way stop is a small one in front of a school and there are frequently kids walking there. Scary to think that if she didn't hit our car, what would she have hit?

Dumba** then had the nerve to accuse MooPoint of not stopping and said that she came to a full stop. Luckily, two witnesses gave statements that matched MooPoint's story (read: reality) exactly so dumba** got charged. I heard the cop say something along the lines of "if you came to a complete stop, why is their bumper lying on the road?" to dumba**.

In the grand scheme of things: no one got hurt. Our bumper was torn off (dumba**' license plate imprinted on the side of it), but there was no other damage to our car. Dumba**'s car got yet another scratch on it (it was pretty banged up already - clear as to why), but unfortunately was permitted to keep her license. We drove home with my bike and our bumper on the roof rack. Good times!

Finally got back to work and went to ultimate try-outs. All went well there, but then a series of first world problems piled on my already crappy day. I somehow got a stupid flat on the way home. Never found out what caused it. I started changing it and my light which I haven't charged since Wilderness Traverse (my own fault on that one) decided to cut out then and there. Ugh. I took my glasses off to see better and they fell into the grass for me to step on them 5 minutes later (I loved my Julbo Zebra lenses for commuting!). The list goes on. Thankfully, tomorrow is not only another day but another month!

Ultimate Frisbee 1:00:00 [5]

What a treat to be able to play at a higher level again and to play on turf again! The tryout was 90 minutes, but I was probably only running for an hour. I made some good plays, but I think I could have laid out for a couple long throws. Funny to see a bunch of people that I haven't seen in a few years and now with short hair! They recognized me when I put my bike helmet on :)
