A loop of the race loop for a warm up.

10k Biathlon, with a prone and standing shoot. Skiing seemed to go well. The shooting did not. Only hit one out of ten.

Morning jog. Minus twenty two degrees this morning which was a little bracing.

Laps on the range between shooting. So cold that my feeling in my fingers was gone very quickly so shooting didn't go so well.

Morning jog to loosen up before the race.

Warm up before the race. Wacth stopped part way through which was a little annoying. Also did a bit of jogging and some mobility stuff.

XC Skiing race 20:56 [5] 5.44 km (3:51 / km) +69m 3:37 / km

Classic relay. I was on the 4th leg. Almost the same course as yesterday really hard work. Managed to fall a few times mostly because of people cutting me up as I was trying to over take. I went out in third quite a long way down on second and started catching up unfortunately my falls meant that I didn't manage to catch them. Stayed in third despite getting tripped up on the finishing straight.

Warm up on skies followed by some mobility and jogging.

XC Skiing race (Classic) 41:08 [5] 10.0 km (4:07 / km)

Classic 10km race. Racing on the Hochfelzin world cup track which is pretty cool. There has been heavy snow all night and it continued throughout the race, which made being able to see a little more difficult. The course was pretty intense with a large hill, I did pretty well I was top novice and came 11th which am happy with. Felt completely dead at the end.

Note

Haven't been able to train for the last few days as we have been travelling to Austria for the first set of competitions.

These competitions are Royal Armoured Corps championships, the Artillery and Air Corps also compete.

Short morning on for the first day in Austria unfortunately my watch died part way through.

XC Skiing (Classic) 27:39 [2] 3.61 km (7:40 / km) +84m 6:52 / km

A loop and a half of the race loop tomorrow. Had the largest dump of snow we have had for the entire trip today which made the skiing rather difficult.
