Evening cruise with Willy and Ali. Feeling good until the last couple of minutes, when suddenly got some sharp pains in my knee. Hopefully it will sort itself out.

Long hill run with Willy. Taking in a several Munro tops. Started a little later in the day than most from a full car park on the A82. Used the West Highland to drop to the valley we needed. Started climbing up to Beinn Chabhair, in the valley to the NW of the summit, this was not the best option, a rough steep climb to the ridge path, easy from here to the summit. Randomly bumped into Tim Martin and his parents at the top.
Dropped straight off the summit to the NE, there wasn't an obvious path so went straight for the summit of Cruach Ardrain, once at the top headed back along the ridge and on the fun goat track that climbs to the top of Beinn a'Chroin, went over all of the tops up here, as we weren't sure which was the actual top.
From the NE top (the actual one), there was a fun decent down the spur, followed by a disgusting climb up the side of Stob Glas, avoiding the cliffs, then climbed to the ridge line and followed the path to Beinn Tulaichean. A simple out and back to Cruach Ardrain. The final top of the day. A very long decent from here all the way along the NW spur, the path gets really rough through the trees and there were a couple of deer fences that had to be crossed.
A great day, good weather and legs not feeling too terrible at the end.

Easy evening run up in Galloway. Legs feeling quite sore on the climbs after yesterdays efforts.

Decided to go back and head up the hill I pussied out of heading up yesterday. I decided to test my legs with an effort up Murton Pike, about 2.5k and 330m climb, this was hard work but I felt better than I had hoped. I think my lungs were going to explode as I reached the top of the Pike. Once I had got my breath back a little, I took a more relaxed run over to the top of Murton Fell. A comfortable run down the same track as I had gone up.
A very wet run but my legs felt better than I had hoped.

Thought I would manage to get up one of the hills above the area while there was a gap in the bad weather. Unfortunately my plan failed.

It turned out someone was night firing, so the range flags were up and I could head up the track I had planned to go up. I decided to head to the next village and go up the first hill outside of the danger area. Unfortunately it turned out to be 9k, and a little longer in time than I had hoped, to the car park at the bottom. So I went back to camp.

Another explore around Warcop. Mostly on the roads this time, a couple of short jaunts up a couple of grass hills, to see if they would work for hill intervals. I had planned to do a larger session, but my legs were feeling a lot worse than expected. Did a few efforts on the hills, but struggled to get moving.

A slow one exploring around Warcop. Found a few random footpaths that went over a couple of hills. Bit of a random route with some out and back bits. Legs feeling ok, some very slippery sections.

Core/ Strength 14:58 [2]
shoes: NB M890 Blue

Short core session once I got back. Mostly pull-ups and glutes stuff.
