Warm up jog and drills feeling pretty tired.

Orienteering 44:00 [3] 4.2 km (10:29 / km)

Tricky short legs and long legs to get right. Enjoyed it still made some mistakes but I know why and didn't let it ruin my day.

Running 25:00 [3]

Decided to take today I a little more seriously napped and visualised before the start rewent over the similar bit of map from day 3. I also did a ten minute jog then 5 minutes of drills and a few stratches before the start.
10 minute warm down to rid myself of frustration and anger before I joined the group didn't want to affect everyone elses day.

Orienteering 1:04:00 [3] 5.8 km (11:02 / km)

Started really well hitting controls and planning well knowing features control on simplifying routes and looking up to see them. My aim was to pick out remarkable features and look up so yeah meeting aims. Then one slight miss and all went rubbish kept missing every other control from half way then got so annoyed because I wanted to do well today and the start had gone so well. Anyway had a good chat with my dad after and worked it out in my head.

Running 10:00 [3]

Warm up down from cable car and some jogging and drills to be honest I was more intrigued by the fact we were going down a pretty steep slope with a 1:5000 section than with warming up but as I had time.

Orienteering 1:04:00 [3] 5.0 km (12:48 / km)

SOW day 4
Finally feeling physically better but navigationally my worst day so far proabably!
Enjoyed the start but messed up a few legs later on when I should have slowed down and taken more time and would have saved a lot of time on making mistakes. Would ahve saved over 10 minutes of mistakes then. I am thinking about the navigation but not so strictly as before no real aim I just want to relax between runs and enjoy seeing my family. But I am finding it hard as I'm not performing as well however I really have to work to perform and I agreed with myself this week was a holiday not a competition. That's not to say I'm not a little disappointed with results. I think the main thing from today was thinking before I moved ie planning.

Running 20:00 [3]

Rest day today have been feeling very tired and sore hence no jogs and stuff just been working and stretching after runs.
But we walked over to the lake at caumesee about 90 minutes and swam there, pretty chilly int he water and more toe nibbling fish.
Then I ran part of the way back via trim trail was going to do it but it started peeing it down so I just ran back. Was a good trim trail better instructions than the one at Nova Gorica but not so fun doing it on your own.

Running 15:00 [3]

Very short warm up as late on the cable car and start very close to assembly so just a leetle jog and few drills. A jog and walk for 10 mins after run enjoying looking back over area where had just orienteered.

Orienteering 50:00 [3]

Day 3 of SOW
Very very very cool!
It was up at 2600m by the vorab glacier, lovely views from the cable cars up.
It was like being on the moon a layer of rock then stones on top. Another area of map of earth and then a layer that was yellow grassy open each had different things that stood out. I really really enjoyed today was so different to anything I've ever done before and challenging but able to pick out remarkable features and move at (some) speed still didn't get a great result but felt good after today unlike other days.
You'll see why I'm so effusive when I put the map up it's pretty cool.

Running 25:00 [3]

Warm up down hill walk/jog to start feeling sooo tired today, woke up and legs did not want to movevery sore calves and just in general tired. Had had a panic that completely lost my dibber it turned up at the event at lost property luckily but I left later than I meant to the start that combined with my tiredness I decided just to take it easy today.
No warm down ooops had a nap in the assembly area instead.

Orienteering 1:40:00 [3] 6.9 km (14:30 / km) +500m 10:38 / km

Long distance day today and really was long as I was taking it easy I made the most of looking at the views and took my time at water station to take on water and look around. Could see mountains on each side and into the valley too. Found it mentally quite tough to keep going but orienteering wise was looking up and sighting the right lumps/edge of trees/rocks which was good. Also contouring and compass pretty accurate - glad I seem to be getting more confident with compass. I can see why the swiss are so tanking good was a lot of climb and though the grass was short in places the ground was rutted and in others there was low bushy stuff. More detailed analysis when I draw route on map and put it up.
