Sunday May 18

Road running 1:11:44 [2] 8.0 mi (8:57 / mi)
ahr:151 max:178 rhr:53 shoes: BA7
Cranbrook loop, solo. Saw just a couple of other runners, but a slew of cyclists. There must be a group of people training either from the JCC or Assumption College, because I saw some new faces and people cycling in clumps, not saying "hi", chatting; not like the rest of the year.

As I was headed south on Salisbury, a car pulled up and asked me could I tell her how to get to the Jewish Community Center? I replied "400 yards ahead on the right". (in retrospect, it was probably closer to 400 feet ahead.)

L shin was OK. Heart rate was a bit higher than I would like so close to a goal race, but I was happy to notice that my rHR is down to pretty close to as low as it's been recently.
Hiking 30:00 [1] 1.5 mi (20:00 / mi)
shoes: Salomon trail shoes
With Daniel's Sunday school class at Wachusett Meadow in Princeton. I confess that I made wrong turns by car on both the out and back legs. Some navigator I am.

I must have lost my head at bringing no water (after a run, no less, so I was a bit dehydrated), no sunscreen, *and* no bug spray. The skeeters were out.

Friday May 16

Cycling 1:00:00 [2] 14.0 mi (4:17 / mi)
ahr:131 max:150
1 hour spin to Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Moderate effort.
