Highlander - Splits

Thursday Oct 2

trail runnung 1:30:00 [2] 5.0 mi (17:59 / mi)
shoes: Salomon trail shoes
At Leominster State Forest, to the bottom, then top of Crow Ledges, then ran/walked/hiked the Mid State Trail to Rt 140. A trail map would have been nice to make me feel more confident that I knew where I was, but I did OK without it. Crossed Rt 140 to read the signage about Redemption Rock, then ran back. On the return leg, I stayed low near the foot of Crow Hill, and came out to a different part of Rt 31 than where I parked. I initially ran the wrong way down the street before turning around.

Cool temps, with a little bit of rain in the last 15-20 minutes. Saw only 2-3 hikers on a beautiful fall day.

Monday Sep 29

Note
Had a bit of difficulty regulating body temps yesterday, but fewer adverse side effects of 19+M run than typical. Just a couple of cramps later, very tired, but not so achy or moving like I need a cane or a walker.
