Cat Rock Park-O. HRM stopped tracking on the 3rd leg, so average is an estimate by how it felt. Messed up the 3rd leg, didn't have a good plan. Came into the stream/swamp control from the wrong side of the water, requiring me to cross it. Then, coming out of the open into the woods, I was trying to disappear into the woods before someone behind me could see my location and learn from me. The down side was that the control was up a steep knoll whose best approach was NOT from where I had entered the woods.

Control pickup, 2,3,4. I was learning to use my first Thumb Compass. Lo, and behold, when I was not racing, and after all the buffalo tracks were in the leaves, and I recognized the terrain a bit, the leg from 2 to 3 went much better.

Treadmill on the random program, although I adjusted the speed to control the RPE. Legs did not feel fresh, just wanted to use them moderately.

9 x 200m with decreasing recoveries.

Road running warm up/down 25:00 [1] 4.2 km (5:57 / km)
shoes: BA10

800m w/u, 1600m c/d, and 200m recoveries between the 9 200s. Recovery intervals were from 2:10 decreasing by :05 each time. 1:30 was a tough recovery for the last one.

Run from the karate studio. My legs felt fine the whole day at work, then when I wanted to run on them 24 hrs after Sunday's long run, they felt like limp spaghetti.
