Orienteering race 1:40:00 [1] 5.0 mi (20:00 / mi)
shoes: Falcon

Bear Brook Green. Woods were very full, and my orienteering was for @#$@. 1 good leg, lots of sloppy movement. I found 1-6, then was out of time, so instead of going to 7, I tried to go to 9 to do the tail end of the course, and failed to find 9. Bleah. Also, broke a gaiter when a branch caught it right on the seam and ripped the seam open from knee to ankle.

Then, after some change of gear, tried to go out for a short, easy ride. I managed not to flat, but I did biff trying to top a short, steep rise. When I arose, I found I had no rear brakes. Double bleah.

Paddling with N on the Charles River to survey and remove water chestnuts. It's early in the season acc to N, but we managed to remove 2 bushels in about an hour. Very inquisitive geese on the water.

Long run with J on the ARRT just for kicks and giggles. Neither of us lives or works in Marlboro any more, but it's about halfway between us. (and I know where all the half-mile marks are, which matters because I no longer have a working GPS-watch.)
