Orienteering 1:39:51 [1] *** 3.26 mi (30:38 / mi)
ahr:133 max:157 shoes: Falcon

Vetting half of a Brown course at Upton State Forest. Some checking various approaches, some running on an unmapped trail so its track would be possible to insert onto the map, but a fair bit of struggling in the terrain.

I fought the bog and, the bog won; I fought the bog and the bog won.

Orienteering race 15:00 [4]
shoes: Salomon trail shoes

Corn Maze sprint. Very challenging to get into the huge scale of the map. Winning time from the young stars was under 6.5 minutes.

Orienteering race 27:02 [3] 1.57 mi (17:13 / mi)
ahr:145 max:161 shoes: Salomon trail shoes

Corn Maze Classic. Some legs were quite the challenge. Straight line looked quite benign, but the passages did not connect, forcing circuitous routes. One or two lapses of contact.

Orienteering race 10:00 [4]
shoes: Salomon trail shoes

Cell phone-O with Phil. We had some telecom difficulties, in addition to getting used to each other's style. Phil ran first while I navigated from outside the maze, then we swapped. I ran according to his directions.

Mountain biking 1:15:00 [2] *** 11.0 km (6:49 / km)
max:163

Group ride with the GB NEMBA group. I didn't realize it was the last scheduled ride of the season. I hike-a-biked over some obstacles, but I wasn't the only one. Rode reasonably well over the squirrely rooty rocky stuff. I had forgotten the part about group riding where, through no fault of your own, someone else dabs or stops, and you are forced to lose your own momentum and opportunity to ride cleanly up some technical challenge.
