Another run from the playground in Sudbury, this time on an unseasonably warm morning. I decided to pick off some streets for my Sudbury CityStrides quest and that made it pretty easy to get in my desired 8k. I started the run with 7.5% of Sudbury done and finished with over 9%, so that seems like good progress.

Discovered CityStrides the other day from Ari's log, and since I have often thought that some silly collecting of roads would make some easy runs more interesting around here I decided to sign up and import the 6 years of running I have on Strava. Turns out that the "city" for which I have completed the most streets is Altamont, NY (!), with over 30% complete. Thee part that I considered "central" Altamont is actually the whole town, so it makes for a compact and easy target. Oslo is my next highest (10%) but a slightly more logistically challenging target.

As for the actual running, my legs felt deader than dead. Did 5x15" strides and I felt like I was moving significantly faster than I was, even for those.

In the afternoon I played in my first SBS softball game. Fun, and actually a higher ratio of softball:social than I expected (this is a good thing). I am not entirely comfortable with the slow pitch timing at the plate but nothing that can't be fixed with practice.
