| So, the riding seems to have irritated my shin. "Bicycling Medicine" suggests that a seat that is too high may cause shin splints. I raised my seat two weeks ago. My shins have been bothering me for two weeks. Coincidence? Probably not, since I don't seem to have that problem with running. I'll have to lower my seat back down a cm or so and see if that helps. |

| Trail run up on Mt. Lemmon. Tried the Marshall Gulch Trail. Only went as far as the intersection with Aspen Trail. It was a little more "up" than I had expected. I was intending to do a long run but I think the length I did was good, considering the shock to my system that the climb was. Felt great on the way back (duh, I was going down) but I was glad I hadn't gone longer because the down was also a shock to my system. I need to find something a wee bit flatter if I'm going to try long runs up there. |

Was going to go up to 4 or 5 orginally but I got a late start - too close to sunset. It was 97 degrees when I got back which might explain why my legs felt dead even at the very beginning. |
