Saturday Jul 31

Other Cardio (Softball) 1:30:00 [1]
Almost 3 hour practice with the team. Seems like it'll be fun, even if requiring way too much sweat.

Friday Jul 30

Cycling 25:00 [2] 6.0 mi (4:09 / mi)
Took the mtn bike (ie, the "functional" one) out around base for a quick test. Feels good to ride after so long. And no pain! I've almost already convinced myself to postpone marathon training for some fall triathlons and half marathons. Sounds like more fun.

Thursday Jul 29

Running 22:00 [2] 2.2 mi (10:00 / mi)
(injured) shoes: Kayano X
Easy run with some strides to test out my leg. Felt fine until I finished. Then it hurt even when it wasn't bearing any weight. Might have to tone things down a lot and change plans.

Sunday Jul 25

Running 1:19:56 [2] 8.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
slept:7.0 shoes: Kayano X
On the running loop, out and back.

Hip/g.m. still bugging me. Not sure what I should do about that.
Note
First day in the new Kayanos. I'm going to use these for on-base road runs and the 2090's for the woods until the 2090's are really shot. I figure they have less than 150 *running* miles on them, so even though they seem trashed, they must have some spunk on them, unless the estimated 30-70 miles of marching or slouching around in them killed them.

Saturday Jul 24

Running 42:00 [2] 4.1 mi (10:14 / mi) +15m 6:18 / km
shoes: Nike Reds
At McAllister along the 6 mi loop. Still waiting for the bike so I can figure out some of the other trails and not get lost...

Thursday Jul 22

Running 29:00 [2] 3.0 mi (9:39 / mi)
slept:5.0 shoes: 2090s

Tuesday Jul 20

Running 53:13 [3] 6.0 mi (8:52 / mi)
rhr:52 slept:6.0 shoes: 2090s
2 miles mp, 2 miles tempo, 2 miles mp.

Maintained good pace: 8:56, 8:55, 8:36, 8:28, 9:04, 9:14

A little quick on the first two MPs...probably would have helped to be slower for the rest of the workout.

Sunday Jul 18

Running 43:00 [2] 4.0 mi (10:45 / mi) +150m 5:59 / km
shoes: Nike Reds
In McAlister, but a little later in the morning. I think it'd be really nice if I managed to get there really early. ;-)

Saturday Jul 17

Running 38:00 [2] 4.0 mi (9:29 / mi)
shoes: 2090s
In the gym. Split by 2k of rowing so that I didn't die of death-by-treadmill-ennui.
Row 10:00 [2] 2 km (5:00 / km)

Thursday Jul 15

Running 25:00 [2] 2.5 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: 2090s
Round the circle.
Row 19:00 [2] 4 km (4:45 / km)

Tuesday Jul 13

Running 46:20 [3] 4.6 mi (10:05 / mi)
shoes: 2090s
easy plus 1.25 miles of "tempo" that really wasn't fun (or fast). Hm.

Sunday Jul 11

Running 1:40:00 [2] 9.75 mi (10:14 / mi)
shoes: 2090s
On base, out and back.

Saturday Jul 10

Running (race) 26:00 [4] 5 km (5:12 / km) +20m 5:06 / km
shoes: 2090s
SARR women's 5k race. The course went up a creek and side hill and then back down. Not too hilly. I started way back in the pack and it took me almost the whole first mile to get up past all the really slow people. So much for being nice. I guess I learned my lesson. Be mean. Start closer to the front. Felt good, should've been faster.
8:48, 8:24, 8:48 (8:00 pace)
hm, 24 sec faster each mile...kind of a big jump.

Thursday Jul 8

Running 20:00 [2] 2.03 mi (9:50 / mi) +15m 5:59 / km
shoes: Nike Reds
First run at McAllister.

Sunday Jul 4

Orienteering 2:20:00 [3]
13c shoes: Nike Reds
Day 2 of GNC.

Saturday Jul 3

Thursday Jul 1

Running 20:00 [2] 2.2 mi (9:05 / mi) +30m 5:25 / km

Goodman's Hill before dinner.
