Tuesday Dec 28

XC Skiing 1:30:00 [2]
At Great Brook with mami. We spent about two hours out on the trails. Good day for skiing, though it got cold when the clouds came out.

Friday Dec 24

Running 33:00 [3] 3.3 mi (10:00 / mi) +50m 5:56 / km
shoes: Mountain Ridge
Up to Tippling Rock and around.

Monday Dec 20

Running 30:00 [3] 3.33 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: Kayano X
Around the golf course with Mike. It was warm and very dry today. It's kind of a gross kind of dry.

Sunday Dec 19

Hiking 1:15:00 [2] 3.0 mi (24:59 / mi)
Hike back to the car. Same pack, but downhill. ;-)

Saturday Dec 18

Hiking 1:45:00 [2] 3.5 mi (29:59 / mi)
Hike up to campsite (H) at Lost Maples. Very nice site. Pack about ~35 lbs.

Friday Dec 17

Running 14:00 [2] 1.4 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Kayano X
warm up and recoveries
Running 6:00 [4] 0.73 mi (8:12 / mi)
shoes: Kayano X
2x30-60-90 w/ 30 sec recoveries

Wednesday Dec 15

Running 1:01:00 [2] 6.1 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Mountain Ridge
Did the loop at McAlister. Felt good. Nice cool evening.

Sunday Dec 12

Running 2:00:23 [4] 13.1 mi (9:12 / mi)
shoes: Kayano X
Dallas White Rock Half Marathon.
Splits: 9:12, 9:04, 8:57, 9:33, 9:16, 9:15, 9:01, 8:49, 9:00, 9:09, 9:48, 9:11, 10:09 (1.1).

The slow mile (11) was due to a quick stretch stop, as my hamstrings and groin were getting stiff. The quicker miles in the middle (6, 7, 8) reflect a flattening of the course and the lack of aid station stops. I walked through all aid stations when I grabbed liquid. In the future I think I'll go back to carrying a water bottle. It's difficult to drink enough and not get crampy otherwise.

Very happy with the results.

Wednesday Dec 8

Running 20:30 [3] 2.4 mi (8:31 / mi)
slept:7.0 shoes: Kayano X
Squadron run.

Tuesday Dec 7

Running 17:30 [4] 2.1 mi (8:20 / mi)
slept:8.0 (sick) shoes: Kayano X
Throat still sore. Gr. Maybe it's getting better.

"Taper" week. (LIke I've been working hard enough to call it a taper...)

4x400 (200) C, 2x200 (100) I, just on the road from the dorms.

Saturday Dec 4

Running 1:30:00 [2] 8.18 mi (10:59 / mi)
shoes: Mountain Ridge
At HCSNA. Probably didn't cover quite that distance, just giving myself props for nasty footing and a little elevation here and there.

Wednesday Dec 1

Running 40:00 [2] 3.8 mi (10:30 / mi)
(sick) shoes: Kayano X
Chilly morning, ran from squadron around the old squadron run loop. With the new iPod, which performed quite well.
