From home to Martha's for "Lukas' play date" with Ella. Melissa and Lukas took the t-bane and I beat them, despite the fact that they left the house before I did. It's sort of an annoying area to get to from home by public transportation but I have a plan for a bus route that I think would be better.
Riding home back up the hill after the test, logged so I get some credit for spending 6-hours of my life taking a Norwegian exam.
Ooh, there was actually a question about orienteering on the exam! It was a listening comprehension question about why the man in the clip had started orienteering. The choices were: a) to make new friends, b) to get outdoors more, or c) to get in shape. He was getting in shape and enjoying the outdoors, but the real reason he started was to meet new people. I'm impressed with the relevancy and realism of the questions on the test. :-)

Trying to salvage the week starting with Tuesday's workout. Of course, once I finally I am able to get out the door running it's on the day with the lousiest weather - dreary rain and actual fall temperatures. Fake summer had to end some time.
Warm up to Sognsvann and then two laps to cover the workout, mixed interval and tempo pace:
3x[2' (1) + 4' (1) + 2' (3)] where the 2' bits were interval pace and the 4' bits tempo pace.
Cool down towards Ullevål, though I hopped on a bus that happened to be stopping right in front of me to get there just a bit faster. Maybe.
This week has been a bit rough, with both Lukas and Melissa sick earlier in the week and all of my last minute studying. I'm surprised that it actually felt good to run hard. I'm going to be a very happy camper on Saturday afternoon, though that feeling will likely be immediately dampened by the fact that I will not be at NAOC.
