I have felt totally wrecked for the past couple of days, just a feeling of complete and utter total body fatigue. Like my bones were empty. I didn't know what it was so I figured it was best to rest and try to recover. Then, this morning on the way to the O meet, we realized (in a real duh moment) that the culprit was probably tree pollen and that I was't actually sick at all. Not 100% sure that is the problem but I have since acquired some allergy meds so we'll see if that helps.
I tried to go out on the white course with Lukas and some friends but the course went right by a big playground right after the start, so Lukas and I never it made it to the first control.
A few hours later it started to rain, which is helpful, and even though all I wanted to do was lie down I figured I should at least try running. I managed the entire workout so I guess it's not I'm not as physically beat down as I feel.
10:00 half marathon pace
5:00 hard (5k effort)
10x[1:00 hard + 1:30 easy]
I didn't think there was any wind during the HM pace bit and then I turned back the other way and was a bit shocked to find myself running into a pretty intense headwind. Made the 5k effort part pretty tough, so I'll call that character building.
Glad I got out, though now it is just past 7pm and I am legit ready for bed.

Compact interval session along the river. Did 6x20s hard at the end of the warmup and then 4x2’ on the way back, into the wind. Feeling almost recovered already which is pretty amazing. I credit the chewy vitamins I bought for the trip. They are delicious.
