Running (road) 20:03 intensity: (11 @0) + (7:35 @1) + (12:17 @2) 3.26 km (6:09 / km)
ahr:144 max:157 shoes: Kara (Roadclaw 275 V2)

A quick, easy outing after dropping Lukas off. This was a test of my theory that there's enough time for runs like this *after* drop-off and before the daily standup at work. I think the best way to get in long workouts (at least until winter) is to go very early and get back before Melissa's normal leave-for-work time (6:45) and still do drop-off myself. In the winter I will probably take advantage of work being so close to home (for now) and do mid-day runs.

These shoes are developing a hole near my left pinky toe. Been thinking it was time to get some new road shoes anyway but I'm a bit disappointed in only 700km so far for these.

Running tempo (road) 44:54 intensity: (5 @0) + (1:07 @1) + (15:38 @2) + (17:31 @3) + (9:54 @4) + (39 @5) 8.2 km (5:29 / km)
ahr:166 max:192 shoes: Kara (Roadclaw 275 V2)

Another early morning outing, but this time Brad (Keegan's dad) appeared just as I was finishing up some leg swings on his fence corner. He was headed out for a run, too, and initially we were just going to start together and diverge but he ended up ditching his workout for mine, which was supposed to be:

15' warmup
18' steady state
10' cooldown

Ran a bit harder on basically all of it than I would have alone. I did run my *planned* pace for the steady state but I could tell while running that it was much more thresholdy than intended.

A lot cooler this morning but still sticky.

Running hills (road) 46:16 intensity: (4 @0) + (11:17 @1) + (32:50 @2) + (2:05 @3) 6.69 km (6:55 / km) +25m 6:47 / km
ahr:149 max:172 shoes: Kara (Roadclaw 275 V2)

Ran to Summit Ave for 8x15" hills and then back home. This was my first early morning run in a long time and unfortunately it was a disgustingly sticky morning so I didn't get to enjoy the nice crisp morning air.
