My birthday is on Tuesday. It's probably the least interesting age possible but that doesn't mean it's any less of an excuse to have a bit of a virtual party. I haven't decided yet what that means - maybe I'll just encourage people to video chat that day when it works for them? Anyway, mark your calendar if you're the social type itching for a little virtual contact that day. This extrovert will appreciate the gift of saying hello.
Today's boxbike adventure was a trip to Charlestown. At the Navy Yard Lukas was most interested in the old tracks in the pavement and didn't seem to care at all about the ships. We nabbed a geocache near there and then pedaled up to Bunker Hill. He had fun running around up there and then we headed back, later than I had planned, and I got pretty cold with the sun setting. The rain cover seems to provide Lukas a real cocoon of warmth - he spent almost all of the time in the bike without a jacket or gloves on.
Full day. Morning volunteering with Food for Free and afternoon supervising movers moving a lot of stuff for Joe. Biked everywhere but all short trips.
There are going to be a lot of people, especially older folks, worried about basics like getting food over the coming weeks. Even right now. Please do what you can to help - donate $ to food banks, volunteer (if you are low risk), and pressure pols to pass meaningful, helpful legislation.
In other news, as of this evening I am feeling a bit rotten. Feels like I’m getting a cold so far.
