Checking control locations at Catalina. Out for 2.5 hours again on my own and then I met up with Lukas and we did one more together. That went well, he is getting a lot better about walking around prickly stuff without needing a 3ft buffer.

I was out for 2.5 hours and never moved faster than a moderate hike. In fact, in order to make sure I would not be tempted to run I wore a pair of flight boots I found in a neatly packed uniform duffle in the shed. They were great for protecting my feet from cactus while carelessly walking and staring at the map but, despite being broken in from a couple of years of work wear they were not great against the back of my feet.

Easy trot around the neighborhood, had just enough time for my mile. Not really pain or tugging but a dull ache. Seems like a good thing.

Sunset ride along the Rillito. Tried to have an honest but still easy effort. Don't want to hurt something else by ramping up an alternate activity too quickly!

Bumped the running up to an ambitious 2k this morning since the mile went quicker. Very moderate discomfort with short strides, and in fact any initial discomfort was masked by menstrual cramping, so that means it was pretty minor. Does seem like I'm making progress.

Went to Sabino Canyon because there's water in the creek. We sort of underestimated the time it takes to go the mile+ to the closest point of the creek, so we didn't actually have time to play there before having to head out for Lukas' first tennis class. Sounds a bit like a raging river when you get close, but maybe that's just my desert ears with different standards.

Ran about a mile with teeniest of strides. Using teeny strides means my abs only feel achy with each step instead of painful.
