bit tired / leg weary after the weekend, so i'm slack in not running the afternoon.

Orienteering race (sl08 - sprint at the uni) 20:52 [5] 2.9 km (7:12 / km)
shoes: Asics Kayano 14

did not stuff up #1, as had already arrived late for start (hoped stuff up was out of the way) . pretty happy with run, couple of route choices that could have been better, possible 19 min, but not much better.

tried to run hard as much as possible. concentrated on control codes, checked each one before punching previous control, need to practice this in the bush.

another run, another mistake on the way to #1. misread tracks, misread the watercourse. also lost time on #4, small watercourse around green, went to far then had to search to find the wc in the midst of thick. rest of the run was ok.

Orienteering race (sl6 "southams rd west") 57:39 [5] 5.6 km (10:18 / km)

thanks kazza for the courses today. my big mistake was entirely my fault. I did not trust myself or the plan to the first control. lost approx 6 min 30 sec after going back to the start triangle. the rest was ok (well for me anyway)
was happy with how i ran, course was undulating but climbed out of gullies well. now for tomorrow

Cycling (AM) 53:05 [3] 23.0 km (2:18 / km)

Took it easy this morning, especially going up the hills. fitness must have improved as the hills seem to be getting easier.

Cycling (PM) 51:15 [3] 22.6 km (2:16 / km)

cruised home, was overtaken on the fernleigh track but decided to let the guy go, did not want to hurt legs, but caught him after the tunnel.

looking forward to tomorrow, exam marking what fun!!!!

from adamstown railway station up fernleigh track to whitebridge, down hill to gateshead. across bypass, round to mt hutton shopping centre, up to warners bay rd then down to the lake. headed south, stopping just before rocky point.

legs were feeling a little tired after yesterday but got up the hill to whitebridge ok (30 mins). the last 10-15 mins were hard, but need to put some more distance into the legs. rest tomorrow, then ride friday. hope I haven't done too much before weekend.
