Colorado. First time able to ride in middle ring. Testing knee. Doesn't hurt on bike. Still hurts walking down stairs. Stupid. ,

Last short track race of the season. Despite crashing in warm up, had my best race so far. Lots of climbing, which is good for me.

BMT. First time this season. Horrifying first mile, as all the steep pitches are these days, but slowly settled in to a good training pace. Not cross eyed but not easy. Top in 1:06.15, and I was prepared for much slower. Easy down to try to preserve my right forearm from further trauma. All in all a good outing. Getting down to my climbing weight might help drop a couple minutes.

RiverRun to Cold Springs lift. Back to RR then up service road to top of RR lift. Then singletrack up to traverse and down to Warm Springs, then reversed. Nearly bailed at WS but actually road the WS climb well. RR descent good til near bottom where I washed out and tore the two scabs off my right elbow. Pretty gory.

Dollar Mountain 10k. Finally felt fitness was coming around but, it seems, not enough for a fast Dollar run. Had hoped for a couple minutes faster but really got pegged in the middle third of the race. Switchback climb to finish felt really good. The course delivered, to be sure. Thanks, Brad.

Fox creek CCW from Lake Creek. Felt OK in parts. Not great in others. Climbing just isn't working these days. Took a good slam coming down. Been a while since I've done that.

Quite a day on Whitney. 3:20am start. Top (elev 14,500) in 3:41. Easy down for a total of 6:20. Tough running. Grade not that bad in a lot of places but fairly technical. Very little smooth singletrack. Felt good. Frozen at the top. Took a bunch of photos.

SummerStart 10k at Valley Club. Brad blazed! I felt good, didn't turn myself inside out. Steady hard effort, and the last two miles definitely hurt. Good turnout and great event. Well done.

Ok. Back muscles still sore. Headache all day yesterday. Guess I should've been doing my core work. Need to figure out my goals moving ahead. MTB and running fitness taking a while to come around on parallel paths.
