Knee rest

Saturday Mar 27, 2010 #

Road run 27:00 [3] 3.5 mi (7:43 / mi)
shoes: Wildcat GTX (A)

Easy in Park City. Cut it short when knee showed signs of going south.

Trail run 49:00 [3] 5.0 mi (9:48 / mi) +1300ft 7:52 / mi
shoes: La Sportiva Wildcat (A)

Took me five days, but I got my quad Carbo. Same as yesterday. Felt slower, but time pretty much the same: Lot to mine: 29:22.

Trail run 49:00 [3] 5.0 mi (9:48 / mi) +1300ft 7:52 / mi
shoes: Wildcat GTX (A)

Just can't stay away these days. Carbo. Added the first part of the switchbacks on the lower Jeep trail; second part still buried but things are opening up quickly (save the ridge). Felt like I was carrying 10 extra pounds this morning.

Lot to mine: 29:20

Tuesday Mar 23, 2010 #

Trail run 55:00 [3] 5.0 mi (11:00 / mi) +1300ft 8:50 / mi
shoes: Wildcat GTX (A)

Exact replay of yesterday, except I took a number of photos going up and down - for a potential blog post. Really stout headwind on the increasingly chewed up ridge. Don't remember it being that bad in springs past; then again, my knee didn't hurt then. Nevertheless, felt great to do it two days in a row. Lot to mine: 30:30.

Monday Mar 22, 2010 #

Trail run 54:00 [3] 5.0 mi (10:48 / mi) +1300ft 8:40 / mi
shoes: Wildcat GTX (A)

First real run on Carbo. Full switchbacks, save a short section of lower Jeep trail. Felt decent on the up; took it easy down. Very runnable but some pretty slow sections still. The ridge is good in places but most of it is pretty chewed up.

First numbers of the year:

Lot to mine: 30:10
Switchbacks to flag: 23:38
