Orienteering 55:00 [3] 7.9 km (6:58 / km) +100m 6:33 / km

Various lines and legs on the Klass map of Mugdock. Trying to relearn terrain running with lenses in. Quite a lively party scene around Dumbrock Loch.

Friday Jun 4 #

Mountain Biking 1:04:00 [3] 18.4 km (3:29 / km) +200m 3:18 / km

Gentle pootle round Dougalston, Mugdock and Mains. Lovely evening. L knee not 100% - feels a bit puffy.

Circuit training 12:00 [3]

Knee stuff

Cycling-commuting 25:00 [3] 9.8 km (2:33 / km)

Damp, not swift.

Hill run 50:00 [3] 8.2 km (6:06 / km) +270m 5:14 / km

Delightful warm windy evening for Iain's farewell Clyde hill run. Managed a nice dram at the trig point, cake at the finish and guest appearances by Donald and Robin. Pretty much a perfect evening.

Tuesday Jun 1 #

Running-Garscube 44:00 [3] 8.9 km (4:57 / km)

Garscube Juniors - trailed along behind the slower of the fast juniors as they did 8*400 with 200 recovery. Good session and the first fast running for a while. See how I feel tomorrow.

Monday May 31 #

Mountain Biking 1:10:00 [3] 20.5 km (3:25 / km) +220m 3:14 / km

Standard WHW, Rosies, Boards, Khyber with some minor Turf related diversions. Glorious warm early evening.

Sunday May 30 #

Orienteering warm up/down 12:00 [3] 1.8 km (6:40 / km)

Orienteering 55:40 [3] 6.0 km (9:17 / km) +200m 7:57 / km

Tough workout on the "Adult Medium" course at the Junuior Cup in Auchingarrich. Fortunately no juniors ran the course, but Roger G took 41:52. One notable mistake and one true horror, probably more down to lack of practice in proper forest than the experiment of running with one lens. Running was OK with only a couple of twinges from my knee and a sore back on the long climbs. Map reading in the darker forest was an issue.
