Left Mel Georges (chk pt #2) at 6:30 AM Arrived at Ski Pulk (chk pt #3) at 20:37. Restocked and left there at 21:49. Reached the finish line at 6:05 AM.
An espically tough race because the trail was so soft and wet, everyone was having a lot of foot issues including myself. Just made my goal of under 48 hours.(47:01.00)
Total of 43:41.00 moving time and 3:25 resting at checkpoints.

Arrowhead 135. First half. 2 -3 inches of fresh snow Sunday night, temps were mild with a little sleet just before noon. Which also made for a soft trail with very wet feet. Ran the first 18 miles and than started to walk got to Gateway the first checkpoint at 15:18. Spent 34 minutes there getting food and water and back out on the trail till 4 AM when I arrived at the midpoint, check point 2. Spent 2 Hrs 29 minutes there eating, talking to others and restocking before leaving.

Temps were in the teens for the start and in the upper twenty's at the end. Started out great doing 8 to 8.5 minute miles till about the halfway point. Was at about 2:30 at about 17 miles but really slowed down after that. The trail got a lot softer and I got tireder. They had gotten several inches of new snow in the past week which made for a soft trail espically the further east you went. I was in second place till 2 1/2 miles from the finish when I was caught from behind. Ended up in third by 30 seconds. Ran the last 2 1/2 miles at 90 % of aerobic threshold.
