Mtn biking race (Arrowhead 135) 13:00:00 [5] 25.0 mi (1.9 mph)
shoes: K2 29er Mtn bike 36Lbs

Walked all the way after leaving Mel georges. I eventually passed everyone that was out ahead so I was breaking trail and that really slowed me down. I could do 2 MPH if there was a track ahead of me but only about 1.5 MPH while breaking trail in the 8 inches of new snow. I eventually called it quits at 5AM and bivied for 3 hours.I had passed Chris and John while they were bivied and caught, talked to than passed Jill during the night. I hit the trail again at 8 AM Jill had passed me and there were Scott's ski tracks ahead of me. I found Jill at Hwy 23 as she was getting a ride home. I went on ahead for another hour than finally decided to turn around and head back to Hwy 23. When I got there Chris, John and 2 others were there deciding wether to drop. We all decided to drop and ride into Orr and got a ride.
The only skinny tire bike out there.
Total time out on the trail 30 hours
Total miles 102

Arrowhead 135 2013.
Warm at the start and it stayed warm all day. I took off my gloves after the 1st hour and kept them off all day. Temps made for a soft trail. Still made good time. Got to the half way check point in 12 hours of riding. Left the half way checkpoint at 10:45 PM in a heavy snow fall and had to walk the rest of the way pushing the bike. Midnight found me in the middle of the north woods pushing the bike.
