Temps were in the teens for the start and in the upper twenty's at the end. Started out great doing 8 to 8.5 minute miles till about the halfway point. Was at about 2:30 at about 17 miles but really slowed down after that. The trail got a lot softer and I got tireder. They had gotten several inches of new snow in the past week which made for a soft trail espically the further east you went. I was in second place till 2 1/2 miles from the finish when I was caught from behind. Ended up in third by 30 seconds. Ran the last 2 1/2 miles at 90 % of aerobic threshold.
