Easy morning run. Added some strides at the end to get heart rate up. Legs feeling good, was tempted to do more but think I have done enough this week.

GUHH hill running, Earls Seat (578m) taking in Dumbreck (508m) on the way. Steady climb up to Dumbreck but after that it was an undulating run along the ridge to Earls Seat. Running hard the whole way to avoid getting cold. It was clear and sunny but windy and very wet underfoot. At points my feet were so cold I was in agony! Felt good all the way, ankles fine over the rough terrain. Finished in the pub for lunch, awesome day out. Intensity 3.5.

Loops of Kelvingrove Park and Art Gallery then up to the botanics and down the river. Bit longer than I intended but easy pace all the way. Heart rate monitor went crazy. Feeling pretty good.

GUHH hill session: 10 x 1min, active recovery to bottom of the hill of up to about 2minutes. Not a very steep hill so reps were fast. Stayed consistent, reaching the same spot each time. Legs feeling a little tired but was still managing to run really hard.

Run with Ruth after circuits. Started off steady but picked up the pace half way. Legs tired after circuits but still feeling pretty good.

GUHH intervals, 5x800m every 5.30. Times: 3.04 (felt v easy), 3.04, 3.02, 3.01, 2.56. John told me to run between 3.02-3.07 as he thinks I sometimes run too fast. Kept to that for the first three but was feeling really good so ran hard on the last couple. Nice long recovery tonight.

Ruth and I took some new people round a route at training tonight. Did about 3miles easy with them and then we picked up the pace for the last couple of miles. Was feeling really good but its depressing back running on tarmac, in the dark, in the rain.
