Snowboarding (Moguls;TerrainPark;Dwnhll) 2:10:00 [4]

Really cold, ~5 *F, and very windy on most slopes. The terrain park was fun, but after reviewing GoPro footage all of my "high" jumps weren't very high at all. The halfpipe was a gorge of 18' frozen walls and any natural talent I was relying on to help me down it was naught.

Snowboarding (Moguls; Glades; Downhill) 3:10:00 [4]

The start of a fun weekend with Jake and Carl at Mount Snow, VT. Experienced my first moguls, they were unpleasant, and my first glades, which was incredible fun. Fresh powder everywhere and snow coming down all day.

Snow Shoveling 1:20:00 [2]

Had to dig out Don's car from the lots for Jake, Carl, and I to use for the weekend. 10-12 inches of snow and an 7.5 inch clearance on the car meant I was in for a lot of digging. It began simply enough, dredging the snow six inches around the car on all sides, but having seen other cadets stuck in the lots I knew that I would have to dig out the area in front of my spot in order to turn without getting stuck. Other cars with similar clearances drove the path I intended to, and they left tracks and helped to pack down the snow between the tires. They still became stuck at times. Don's car being a rear wheel drive, I felt that I could ill afford to get stuck, so I dug out the tire paths to the asphalt guaranteeing myself grip most of the way out of the lots. It helped a lot and I managed to get out.
