Running 56:00 [2] 6.0 mi (9:20 / mi)

I wasn't sure what the snow was like off-road so I ran to the gate and then tried to find the track. The road had been ploughed and some of the edges were 5 feet high. There was a layer of compacted snow left on the road that was almost skiable but, as the ploughs were still up there and as here and there bits of tarmac showed through, I decided it wouldn't be worth going back for skis.
Once on the top I couldn't see the track at all. Following the approximate line from the layby I was soon in 2 feet of snow and decided against an off-road run.
I carried on down the road until I'd been out for 3 miles. By that time I had gone on my arse twice, once careering down a 16% hill for a good few meters.
So, out and back 6 mile slippery road run.
