spiked:10/12c shoes: New Balance RX terrain

Really good race round, the navigation was good, probably could have gone a bit faster, but was feeling a bit tired. Concentrated on the technical couldnt really do much about the navigation.

Time: 0:42:23 Winners time: 0:42:23

lost to fastest
1
G: Quick start, and aiming off through terrain
B: Started intending to aim off right, but actually aimed of left. Was allright though because I realised. Would have lost more time, but saw the control
T:02:47 Time loss?:00:30 Actual time loss to fastest: 00:28
2
G:Nice straight route, excecuted perfectly with good rough compass
B: A bit slow through the undergrowth and trees
06:41 00:15 00:28
3
G:Good visualisation of the control site, and safe route into control. Didn?t get put off too much by the first path.
B: Probably followed the earthwalls too much, and so not quickest route. Wasn?t as certain as I should have been from ap
05:10 00:45 00:26
4
G:Really straight route to the control, good visualisation
B:wasn?t really as precise as I could/should have been.may have been quicker to do path route
02:53 00:15 00:08
5
G:Good route down path under line, and spiked the control
B:lucky to realise there was a path under the line. Probably should have been broken
02:49 00:05 00:00
6
G:Good flow into the control, nice easy route
B:May have been quicker to go on lower path. Bit hesitant down the path, though I knew I hadnt got there yet, as I was pacing
02:18 00:20 00:10
7
G:Really good flow out of 6 and to the attack point
B:may have got lucky by seeing it from path
01:17 00:10 00:03
8
G:relocation and strong up the hill
B:went too far left and so wanst as straight as I should have been. Also got put off by other control-was obviously not mine
02:25 00:30 00:14
9
G:smooth route into control, good contact with the map.
B:got put off at veg boundaries due to different trees, when I should have known I was right. Hesitant at bottom of slope
05:58 00:30 00:12
10
G:straight route and good contact with the map
B:didn?t really have a secure attack point, so probably lost some time. Also was vague and so not confident and fast across slope. Maybe quicker to go round paths.
06:59 01:20 01:11

G:Spiked the control exactly. Visualisation excellent
01:26 00:00 00:04

Kent Night Cup street race round tonbridge. Mass start hour score. not that many controls around, so just set off for a bit of a run round. Was weird doing it without zoe and dad, and probably slower
was feeling pretty tired but legs were moving ok.
Oh and the small matter that I beat jonny. By ALOT. and cos he hasnt written, it just to point out he came 17th out of 26 (i was 6th and first lady/junior) shocking. but very very funny.
