Running 53:30 [3] 9.2 km (5:49 / km)
ahr:172

Headed out to do the run I did loads last year, round the fields behind grange road. Then thought I'd do the bit over the motorway to Coton. So ended up being a bit longer than I intended. Combined with yesterday, and lots of tarmac/hard ground legs were feeling a bit dead with about 2k to go. Tried to pick them up a bit, and felt like I started striding out nicely towards the end. Was really nice weather, if a bit warm!

Generally starting to feel like my fitness is coming back! Which is a relief especially if I think back to how I'd feel just jogging a couple of weeks ago. Really looking forward to racing at the Scottish with pretty much no pressure but great areas and just enjoying it, yet hopefully having the fitness to cope with the whole week.

Running 49:55 [3] 8.75 km (5:42 / km)
ahr:169

New route, parked the bike at Lammas land, then down a really nice footpath to Trumpington (Passed the Clare Sports ground and discovered that the college owns a wood!). Bit of road to granchester, then back along the river.
And the sun even came out towards the end

Running 40:00 [2] 6.9 km (5:48 / km)

Was just going to go for a plod again as I was feeling very dopey, but then met Andrea and a friend so ran with them and had a good chat, and ended up going further. But was really nice!

Running 21:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:15 / km)

Feeling surprisingly good/fast once I got going. So kept the effort above a plod which was nice

Swimming 30:00 [3]

In Jesus Green pool. SO SO COLD!!! Wasn't too bad once I got going, but had to do a good length (of 91 metres, apparently) of breathstroke before I could face putting my head underwater regularly. Only did 14 lengths, but they are long ones and means you don't get an excuse to rest/push of the ends as often.
Eventually had to get out because I was getting really cold. Then went a bit crazy over the period of drying off, going back home and back to the pool to pay (oops!).
